Why has my lock stopped working — is the actuator the problem?

A lock that does not respond is often a failed actuator, but not always. A faulty switch, broken wiring, a blown fuse, or a control module fault can cause the same symptom. Have the lock checked before ordering — if the fault is elsewhere, a new actuator alone will not fix it.

What happens if I order the wrong actuator?
