It’s common for the teeth on the plastic drive gear inside the Mini R52 Sunroof motor to become damaged. Lack of lubrication or wear in the roof mechanism can cause that damage.
This drive gear is a direct replacement for your damaged plastic gear. MINI do not supply replacement drive gears, only the complete sunroof drive units.
Please note that the sunroof mechanism MUST be lubricated or repaired BEFORE replacing with this Mini gear repair wheel otherwise the failure will continue.
