How do I know if my motorcycle key needs a transponder chip?
Open your original key housing and look inside — if you see a small black or grey plastic capsule near the head, your bike has an immobilizer and needs the chip version. If the housing is empty, your bike uses a mechanical-only key.
How do I make sure I am choosing the correct motorcycle key for my bike?
Compare your original key to the product photos and check the blade profile, length, and tip shape before ordering. If anything looks different, send us a photo and we will confirm compatibility.
What does this key need before it works on my motorcycle?
If your bike has no immobilizer, the cut key works straight away. If your bike has an immobilizer chip, the key must also be programmed locally before the engine will start.
Can mr-key.com cut and program this key for me?
We cut the blade from a clear photo of your original key for €5. We do not program. An independent garage, a specialist auto electrician, or a professional vehicle locksmith can program it — mr-key.com cannot.
